Visitor information

Kelmscott Manor, Morris's country house near Lechlade, Oxfordshire, is owned by the Society of Antiquries. During 2008 it is open 2 April until 26 September.

General Public open days

    House and Garden (visits not bookable in advance).The house has limited capacity. Admission to the house is by timed ticket.
    Every Wednesday, 11 a. m. - 5 p. m. Ticket office opens 10.30 a. m. Last admission to the house 4.30 p. m.

    Eight Saturdays, 2 p. m. - 5 p. m., as follows: 19 April, 17 May, 21 June, 5 and 19 July, 2 and 16 August, 20 September. Ticket office opens 1.15 p. m. Last admission to the house 4.30 p. m.

Garden only

    Thursdays, June to September, 2 p. m. - 5 p. m. (as well as Wednesdays and open Saturdays)

Our Shop and licensed restaurant open throughout the general public open times.

Admission prices

    House and Garden: Adults £8.50; children (8 to 16 years) £4.25; full-time students (with valid student card) £4.25; one carer accompanying a disabled person FREE. Garden only: £2.
Group visits (must be booked in advance)
    Thursdays and Fridays, mornings and afternoons. Introductory talks and guided tours. A minimum charge applies. Please contact us for a group booking pack.
Location, access and parking
Kelmscott Manor is situated approximately 3 miles from Lechlade. Kelmscott is signposted from the A417 (Lechlade - Faringdon road, turn off by the Trout Inn, just outside Lechlade) and the A4095 (Faringdon - Witney road, turn off between Radcot and Clanfield). On entering the village, follow signs to the manor. Disabled access is limited. A wheelchair is available. Please telephone for further information. The manor has a car park (approx. 10 mins. walk), with disabled persons parking and drop-off point at the manor.
