Amy McHugh is an independent decorative arts curator, who specializes in 19th and early 20th century American glass, jewelry, and metalwork. She previously was the Associate Curator at the Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement in St. Petersburg, FL. Opened in September 2021, she was responsible for the inaugural installation of the museum’s permanent collection of fine and decorative arts from the movement, including paintings, woodblock prints, photography, furniture, ceramics, leaded glass, and metalwork. Additionally, she was the Assistant Curator at the Tiffany & Co. Archives. During her eight-year tenure, her research centered on Tiffany’s heritage in early gold jewelry, diamond bridal jewelry, royal customers, and the creations of Jean Schlumberger. She received her M.A. in the History of Decorative Arts and Design from Parsons The New School. She is a member of numerous professional glass and decorative arts organizations including the International Committee for Museum (Board Member), Art Glass Forum | New York, and the National American Glass Club (Membership Chair).
